The Story
A warm champagne light pools at the center of this ring—a 0.50-carat round brilliant diamond whose amber body color reads like honey held up to lamplight. Colorless diamonds circle the center in cooler light, and the two temperatures play off each other with every turn of the hand.
Set in polished 18-karat rose gold and held by four prongs, the champagne center is framed by a diamond halo whose pavé continues around the outer profile of the basket—not a flat ring of stones, but a three-dimensional collar that returns light from the sides of the hand as well as from above. Pavé-set round brilliants totaling 1.00 carats with D-color and VVS1/VVS2-clarity run through the halo and down the upper shoulders of the shank—a grade combination at once colorless and nearly flawless, typically reserved for the highest tier of bridal jewelry. Underneath, an openwork scrolled gallery lets daylight pass through the mounting, and the rose gold catches on every curve of the metal.
