Six prongs rise from a scalloped cup of 14k yellow gold, lifting out of the petals of the buttercup mounting to hold a round brilliant cut ruby that runs raspberry at the edges and brightens to pink across the table. A rabbit ear bail carries it, splitting into two polished blades that curve apart and close again around the 18-inch curb link chain.
