The Story
Seventeen diamonds, and the ones catching light change with every step you take. This diamond heart pendant is built as an open heart, sixteen stones following its outline and the seventeenth held in a second heart that repeats the shape and hangs free at the center. Two hearts, and both of them glimmer.
Every diamond here grades G in color and VS1 in clarity—near-colorless and near flawless, so each one faces up white, clear straight through, and the fire it gives back is clean. The largest of the seventeen sits in that second heart, hanging on a short link inside a millegrained edge that throws its own fine line of highlights around the stone. Sixteen more follow the outline—one at the cleft, one at the point, seven up each side—each raised in a scrolled setting. The 14k white gold between them is openwork, cut right through, so what you see across the frame is diamonds and the thin line that carries them, and very little else. This romantic diamond heart pendant is suspended from an 18-inch Italian Spiga wheat chain—four strands of twisted links braided for strength with the supple feel of silk.
