The Story
Golden orange arrives at the neckline, and a clear, bright green sits above it. This citrine and peridot pendant sets an oval brilliant cut citrine under a round peridot. A broad band of polished 14k white gold carries both stones.
The two stones in this citrine and peridot pendant come to 1.95 carats together, and both hold AAAAA, the top grade on the colored-stone scale. It weighs color above everything else—how pure the hue is, how deep the saturation runs, and how far each carries into the stone. On the citrine that comes out as a full, warm golden orange, as rich at the edge as at the center. Above it, the round brilliant cut peridot flashes a sharp, grassy yellow-green, and peridot is August’s birthstone, long a symbol of strength and protection. This luminous citrine and peridot pendant is suspended from a 16-inch cable link chain. Natural, earth-mined stones throughout. Each and every piece at Jewelry Depot is one-of-a-kind. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
Citrine is November’s birthstone, a stone long tied to the sun and to the old ideas of abundance and warmth. This is a pendant you will wear for years, and what you will be wearing is 1.70 carats of citrine with a peridot set over it.
