The Story

A raspberry red deep enough to run purple in the shadows.  This pear ruby and diamond ring is built on that single red, and it holds the same intensity in flat morning daylight as it does under a lamp at midnight.

At the center a one carat pear brilliant cut ruby is set north to south, throwing magenta from the crown facets and a darker plum beneath.  Two lines of diamonds rise from the divided 18k white gold band, cross at either shoulder, then arc around the ruby into fine points, laying a pointed oval east to west across the finger.  Fifty-two round brilliant cut diamonds fill those lines and graduate toward the points, giving this pear ruby and diamond ring another 1 ½ carats and open space to either side.  The ruby grades AAAAA overall—the top grade for color, clarity, and cut—while the diamonds grade D color and VVS1 clarity, colorless and nearly flawless, and every stone in this pear ruby and diamond ring is natural and earth-mined.  Each and every piece at Jewelry Depot is one-of-a-kind.  Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.

Ruby is July’s birthstone, and one carrying this much saturation is a genuine find.  Wear it on a Tuesday of errands and you will keep catching white fire circling the red every time your hand turns, at breakfast and again long after dark, year on year.

Diamond & Gemstone Grading

All gemstone carat weights (CTW), if mentioned, are approximate if said gemstones have not been weighed before mounting, i.e., weighed as a loose stone.
