The Story
Six Hebrew words meant to be kept close, not put away—the Shema, an openwork medallion worn over the heart in sterling silver, through every kind of day.
The flowing letters spell the first line of the Shema—שמע ישראל יהוה אלהינו יהוה אחד, Shema Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Echad, "Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is One" (Deuteronomy 6:4)—cut clean through the silver into lacework.
