The Story
A single ruby holds the center of this ruby flower pendant. The cut is a round brilliant, and its brilliance is a vivid raspberry red. Six polished petals of rose gold open around a hexagonal panel of milgrain-edged openwork. Nearly an inch and a half top to bottom, it covers a real stretch of neckline.
This ruby flower pendant is built around one stone, and that stone grades AAAAA at the top of the grading scale. Color, clarity and cut are weighed together at that level, and the ruby holds full, even saturation from edge to edge, transparent right through. Ruby at that standard is roughly the top one percent of the material. The mounting is 14k rose gold, and the warm metal behind it takes the red deeper still. The ruby is natural and earth-mined.
