The Story
Hold this Murano millefiori glass pendant up to the light and it turns into a window of color. The pattern runs clean through the full thickness of the glass, so it reads whole from both sides. Either face is the front.
Slices of glass cane are fused edge to edge over the disc—cobalt panels scattered with six-pointed white stars, ivory daisies with marigold centers, sea-green tulip forms, and three white-ground canes holding a rust-red dot in a cobalt starburst. Broad fields of bright blue-green and powder blue run between them, meeting at a steel-blue quatrefoil with one mustard-gold star at the exact middle. The canes are pulled and cut by hand on Murano, the glassmaking island since 1291. The warm 18k yellow gold bezel of this Murano millefiori glass pendant grips the disc at the rim alone, so the cobalt and sea green reach the edge.
