The Story
Brilliance lands in a different place on these garnet and amethyst stud earrings with every step you take and every tilt of your head. The garnets are a sumptuous deep red, and the amethysts a lavender purple. Of the 7.30 carats in the pair, 4.10 are garnet and 3.20 amethyst.
The Mozambique garnets are AAAAA, the top of the grading scale, which judges color, clarity and cut together, and the amethysts are AAAA, among its highest; both are evenly saturated throughout. Their marquise brilliant cut scatters brilliance across these garnet and amethyst stud earrings, right out to the tips. In 14k yellow gold, each stud holds its garnet on a diagonal above an upright amethyst, and the pair is mirrored. Called toi et moi, French for you and me, this two-stone design has long meant two people united. Red above and purple below give these garnet and amethyst stud earrings a vibrant contrast that carries across a room, and you wear it on both sides of your face. Every stone here is natural and earth-mined. Amethyst is February’s birthstone, a symbol of royalty and daring. Each and every piece at Jewelry Depot is one-of-a-kind. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
Garnet, January’s birthstone, stands for friendship and trust. When you laugh or look up, a striking scatter of brilliance flashes from all four stones, and the gold sits warm against your skin. This is heirloom-quality wearable art, deep red and lavender together in one line of gold, and you put it on with pride.
