The Story
Dark red, and a great deal of it. These garnet cluster earrings hold their stones so tightly massed that the color pools into one continuous field—dense through the body of each, cherry-bright wherever the light finds a facet, and warmed along every edge by the gold between them. Richly saturated, and altogether sumptuous.
A marquise brilliant cut garnet stands upright at the center of each earring, held inside a slender gold frame drawn to the same pointed-oval shape. Ten round brilliant cut garnets ring that frame in individual collets, and scrolled terminals that curl outward in the fleur-de-lys manner cap the cluster above and below, which is why these garnet cluster earrings take the long outline of a much older tradition. The mountings are open at the back, so each pavilion sits clear behind, and the whole of the setting is 14k yellow gold. Every garnet across the pair grades AAAAA overall—the top grade for color, clarity, and cut combined, natural and earth-mined—and together they make up the 1 ½ carats these garnet cluster earrings carry.
