The purple in this stone runs deep and even, edge to edge. This amethyst and diamond cocktail ring is built on one oval brilliant cut amethyst, and the brilliance coming off its face follows every turn of your hand. The ring is warm 10k rose gold, and the pink of the metal brings out the red already in the stone.
The amethyst grades AAAAA, the top of the scale, and on a colored gemstone that rating turns on hue and saturation ahead of everything else. Here that means purple at full strength through the whole stone, with the transparency to carry it. Eight round brilliant cut diamonds run up the shoulders of this amethyst and diamond cocktail ring, and every one of them is near-colorless.
